The nature of Aeron's dualistic nature is due to the same circumstances that happened to Ryder. Being a student in Ryder's class she participated in the Wishing Tree project. Her own wish was at the time a mere idle fancy of wishing she could in some way be more like her creation, Pearl Kingsley. Though she was still hesitant to admit it, the popularity of the work stirred a feeling of envy to Pearl and resent to Aeron's life in comparison. While she did not expect to come from this wish of fancy, when the magic took hold of the Wishing Tree, it granted that wish in a way she never expected. Aeron now found herself inexplicably transforming into Pearl Kingsley.
