May it be, 20K+

So it seems in this month of May, I've gone past the 20K page view benchmark. A stasitical number which has taken an amusing status symbol for some in the ever escalating world of pageviews for some. Or simply just an amusing point to poke at. :poke:

April was an interesting month in reflection. Manage to put out quite a few chapters for Kingdoms: Rebirth Novel project. And been quite please with the reaction to it from some.

Also manage to get a swag of commissions work finished from different groups which certainly made things fun. Certainly other thinks so too looking at the comments. ;p

One of the commissions were more pieces done for my character Elaine whose been quite neglected in stories for quite awhile. So to amend that, I brought out the zero chapter for her new series Elaine X Hyde which takes places a bit after the events of MGUA. Continuing the story as Elaine goes after the dreadful Dr. Jekyll and his cohort. Hope you enjoy it.

Life's been a mess but that's nothing new. Got even earlier shift start time so that'll be throwing my schedule into a funk with the whole sleep management issues. And summer is coming along which means welcome to the furance around here. Oh well.

Wonder if anyone does read these journals. :-?

Anyhow, some art promotion! =p
Check out this fine piece showing characters both from Kingdoms: Rebirth and :iconqvi: TFoK. It's grand. [link]

Been awhile since the last, journal. Lots of things in life been coming through to me in the openning act of this year. And looking at this first quarter of '08 its been a real mix bag. Still take what you get with things.

On the story front, its been rather slow only manage to drop a few segments in the early months. The reason of course is that I had an offer to write a fairly sizable story which drain most of my energy for those first two months. Only know getting back into the swing of things.

With the start of this April, the Kingdom: Rebirth sage has finally kicked off with a slew of chapters being released. Okay, it was just four so far but in relative context of what I've done so far its a big thing.

Its been called a Brother story to :iconqvi: The Future of Kingdoms which you can learn about more on her site. She even did a great illustration of the main cast for K:Rebirth you can see here. [link]

Look forward to more chapters to be release throughout the rest of April as I get this saga moving. Enjoy everyone. =D

So another year has passed, unlike 2006, there is certainly more I could talk about this time around. Lots been happening, though like Max my memory has the consistency of cheese through a cheese grinder. Quite stripped down by the end of things.

I certainly got a lot of stories done in this year in general. Haven't been really writing for awhile only starting it back up again late 2006, so its a bit of working getting back into the groove throughout this year. Certainly been interesting seeing how folks responded to them.

Another interesting matter, is I took the dive into the world of commission arts. Been an enlightening experience also got to see a bunch of concepts once only presented in the words of text brought into the visual medium. Though self control on how many I take out at a time still needs some working I'm afraid. ^^;

Well, I've certainly got to meet and talk with a bunch of interesting folks on dA like Qvi, Kojiro, Speedy, Kable1, and a few others whose name don't come to me at this late hour. Even got to get into some exchanges with them and hope to see what else might things go with this come next year. Really getting some use out of IM now. :typerhappy:

Story-wise was rather interesting. Some of the series I started out with strong intentions early on the year sort of simmered out. Looking at Project: KH and MGUA. Though Project: KH been on so many revisions and drafts that's nothing new. Got too much dedicated work done on development to ever let it go just how long it takes to produce.

Oh well.

In some of the interesting new developments which came across this year story-wise. I've found myself involved in three particular series I'd never expected now.

:iconqvi: I came across her lovely fan-manga and gallery of The Future of Kingdoms [link] by her and was insantly enthrall in its comedic nature and artwork for it. Soon found myself involved in writing fanfics for it which grew into its own mini-series to it. Its been real fun adding my own bits of madness into her world. Stories: [link]

:iconstrangerataru: Saw my return to a character I had handled previously last year of his, a certain Madison Nazareth. [link] The Devil Helix is certainly a rich tale which I'm happy to help unfold it out. Poor Maddy certainly going to have some trying times ahead. Stories: [link]

:iconmisternicely: With the permission of her creator, Charlotte Jekyll [link] also made her debut her presenting a different tale of Jekyll and Hyde amidst the backdrop of a cyberpunk society. Gemini Crisis is certainly one of the mature series I've been working on but its been fun. Stories: [link]

So looking back its been quite a ride here in dA. Still got some other things I'd like to take a shot at come the next year. Continuing putting out more of what I have too. So before I fall over the keyboard in exhaustion have a Happy New Year all of you.

And thanks to all the wonderful folks here on dA for quite a fun ride and  to those that kind of butt heads with me for the oddest of reasons here too.

Stay strong folks and good night. :salute:

Yes, its very cold outside. Brr, horrible really.

The holiday seasons seemed to be shaping itself up rather chilly especially in some parts of the country. Not much fun for a bunch of folks all over the place.

As for my front, nothing too much, been working on stories as usual when both the time and inspiration strikes me. Gotten a few more done put up today too.

Seems my watchers and favs has certainly been going up a bit too, pretty surprise about it. Sort of wonder at time what it could be they might be coming here but most are a silent bunch.

That's a bit all for me. Take care you all.

5K+ Views

Within the last week, I managed to top over the 5K threshold in page views. Ain't that something. ;)

So what's been up for awhile?

Been doing a lot of different things really including playing in the fun fun world of trying to commission works. Got to learn the process with each artists not to mention trying to mantain communication. It certainly has been a learning experience.

In other topics, I've started working on writing a story series for :iconmisternicely: concept of Jekyll and Hyde. Gemini Crisis takes the story into a cyberpunk alternate world where the nature of humanity itself is questioned. Check it out if you are interested, though warning it is a *mature content* work.

Got some other stuff in the work with other folks including the return to one of my old work, Devil Helix. The tale of a young girl who found herself embeded with the genetics of a devil soldier from hell. See some more of dear Madison in the near future. She's a creatioon of :iconstrangerataru:

Got some things brewing with my other works, including a silly "campaign journal" of sorts involving some foolish adventurers with the Paizo's Pathfinders Adventure Path series, Rise of the Runelords. So got a lot of stuff forthcoming. =D
