August, what a month.

Ah dear old August, the month which really doesn't have too much noteworthy to it. Excusing for those on a semester system and have to look forward to the onslaught of school once again. That is certainly one thing I'm not going to miss too much now.

So what has gone on since my last journal? Just a few stories, birthday pass by with the annual lets get stuffed dinner which leaves us all rather unmotivated to move afterward, and as a birthday gift to myself purchased some commissions.

You can see them here [link] and here [link] . A look at one of my character Elaine from my MGUA series.

Else while, I'm still trudging along with the daily grind doing my rounds and generally keeping myself sane. Hasn't kept be completely busy, but has been tedious at points. Been tossing around a few story ideas, but we'll see if any of them bare and fruit. :work:

Amusing enough, gone past 3K in pageviews. Things have been steadily moving up in that front too. :p

Going through a TFoK binge at the moment. =D

For those of you who are not familiar it stands for The Future of Kingdoms manga being done by :iconqvi:. You can find more information on her journal article for it here. [link]

Got into the whole writing thing with an art trade I did for her bring the incorrigible Augustus and Dusan to her world. And things have been more crazier ever since I'm must admit.

Its been real fun playing with the insanity of those characters, I even went off and made a side series to TFoK. The aptly named TFoK Side where I explored Dusan and Augustus past and present along with bringing in some new characters to join the madness. Just a bunc of fun fun shorts.

Had a real fun time in the world of Darien with TFoK. =D

But wait there's more. It is July which means my birthday is coming up in the 28th which means of course I'm putting up my WC up again. (Yes, I know that was a total Non sequitur ^^;).

I'm still offering a short written piece, probably around three to four pages in length roughly. I do have my limitations so there something I probably can't do very well, but we'll deal with that bridge if we have to cross it. Or you can look around to see what I've done to get familiar with my work.

Drop a comment if you're interested.

The end of my little vacation break for this summer, back to the olde grind of work tomorrow. Glad I was able to have a rather eventful trip down south in OC.

Got to go visit some amusement parks like Disneyland, Universal Studio, and Knott's Berry Farm. Though I'm sure most wouldn't ever try to equate visiting Disneyland as research for KH, but hey. Manage to come out of it with a lot of loot, got myself a bundle of memorabilias from PotC. Got me some cursed Aztec Gold here. =D On the hand the gold seem to do its trick as over half the rides I went on that day broke down. A few times with me still riding them. :ohnoes: Don't want to get stuck in the haunted mansion like that. Or being forced to listen to those pirates constantly yammering the same thing over and over. :noes:

Knott's Berry Farm was rather interesting. Show how weak I've become being tossed around by rollercoasters. Also after a little stint in the White Water Rapid ride got to enjoy the rest of the day 3/4 soaked in my clothes. Fun... At least it wasn't as wet as those people I saw going on the Whiplash. Nothing like being spun upside down straight into a jet of water several times. Too much for me.

Universal Studio Hollywood was interesting too. Got to ride the Mummy Return ride and the Jurassic Park river ride. Hard to understand why a place like that is so obess with getting you wet. :? Even the Shrek 4D show had it out in splashing water on you. Isn't that something?

Well know that I got back home. Guess it is time for me to work a bit more on those stories I've been mentioning about. Getting a few pilots for them to give a little dose of what I'm working on for them. Hollow Hunters already got one up already and I'll see about the others soon enough.

Take care.

Past the whole 2K page view threshold, good as any reason to bring out a new journal. Still very much taking things a bit easy now that school is all over. Work is just starting to pick up now too, all thanks to the start of the summer vacation times. Not going to look forward to dealing with those travelers.

Story-wise, still hammering out the notes for Project: Kingdom Hearts. Working off a lot of the information, or there in lack of, thanks to the stuff been said in wake of KH2:Final Mix+. So that is progressing along relatively smoothly. Just some stuff we got to hammer or leave alone.

Other projects, I've been working on my own Original-verse tale tenatively refer to as Hollow Hunters. A supernatural hunter story with some of my own twist and takes on matters. You can already seen a preview of the main character Andrew Daywalker in the latest Character in Profile deviation. Hope to put out some more stuff for it soon.

Got some other minor ideas which I might spin something out of too. Not too sure at the moment, they are much less developed then the last two things I've mentioned. Might just do a short comedic series of a bunch of nutty PnP Role players as they play their way through some noted adventures like Shackled City or Age of Worms. We'll see how that works itself out.

So that's all I got to say for now. Till next time folks. :salute:

Commencement/Graduation

And lo so it has come to past that on May 26, 2007 I was conferred the degree of Master of Applied Economics. This is despite the actual final grades for the semester won't be turned in for another few days confirming whether or not some of us have even actually graduated or not.

And so forth, I was forced to sit out in the blazing California heat dressed in black graduation regalia expected to listen intently to whatever speech given by the assortment of speakers present. Much of which by this point have been wiped cleanly from my mind without the smallest facet of recollection on what it was about or whatever lesson might be gleaned.

With this I can say a particular chapter my education has come to a close as I can for now put my books and studying behind me. And get some bleeding sleep and do something else for myself now.

Goodnight and rest well all. :salute:
